- Setting and Using Tab Stops

- The tab icons on the text ruler are used to set four kinds of tab stops for text:

- • A left tab left justifies text at the tab stop.

- • A center tab centers text at the tab stop.

- • A right tab right justifies text at the tab stop.

- • A decimal tab aligns text by decimal points

- Step 1
- Select the text you want to add a tab stop to in the text entry box.

- Step 2
- Drag an existing tab stop to a new location on the ruler, or click the tab icon and drag a tab stop to the desired position.

- • To use a tab stop, click to place the text insertion point where you want the tab, then press the Tab key.

- • To move a tab stop, drag the tab marker to a new position on the text ruler.

- • To remove a tab stop from the ruler, drag the tab marker off the ruler.
